I have a new go-to nail place!
On my way home yesterday, I remembered that my nails were overdue for a mani-pedi treatment. There was a new building with a massage place along Zuzuarregui St., but I wasn't sure if there was a nail salon. When I stopped outside, I saw one: Kandid--a nail, wax, and eyelash place.
I went for it.
After explaining that I needed a mani-pedi, they recommended the Handsome Hands and Handsome Feet. Funny. "Handsome" is nowhere close to the state of my hands and feet!
Kandid thoughts: (See what I did there?)
1. Interiors are gender neutral.
It isn't exploding with pinks and purples, unlike others--not that there's anything wrong with that. I just felt more comfortable inside and I'm sure other guys will, too.

2. So many guys!
To my surprise, the ratio between guy and girl customers were equal. To begin with, how many guys get their nails done, anyway?

3. Technician was very careful.
I'm a bleeder. No blood here! Also, we were near the fan and she made the effort to cover the area being sprayed so that the alcohol (or whatever it was) wouldn't get into my eyes.

4. Hands-on owner!
She goes out of her way to talk to the customers, which is always good. She even offered me coffee. Not sure if it's on-the-house but I really appreciated the gesture.
5. Pet-friendly!
Cute how there was a dog inside just minding her own business.
6. Extra Affordable
Manicure was P150 and pedicure was P195, both included a soak, cleaning, and cuticle oil.
I'm glad I chanced upon Kandid. It's even near my house! No more driving to Katipunan or to the mall for my nails.
I'll definitely go back and will probably get my eyebrows done, too.
Who wants to go with me?
