Leni Robredo can almost feel her victory as being the next Vice President of the Philippines. The endless nights of worrying seems to be going away. Just a little bit more and she can enjoy the fruits of her hard work. As she says, "Baka kembot na lang ang kailangan."
The VP race is tough with many pillars as her competition. A lot can still happen and it may still be anyone's game. However, there will be forces that will try to hinder Leni from success. Many will try to pull her down instead of helping her. But I don't think Leni will be affected by this. She is balanced, grounded, and will not lose herself in this race.
While her happily-ever-after in Malacañang may seem reachable now, there seems to be some sort of emptiness inside. Something seems to be missing. Perhaps it's the longing for the family to be complete in the "celebration" to come?
What will be to Leni's advantage is love--the people's love for her and her genuine love for the people. Surprisingly, even those that may not have known or liked her in the first place may eventually side with her.
Victory may be a stone's throw away but Leni cannot be complacent. At this point, the "kembot" may still be a "tambling". Leni still needs to put herself out there by letting people know who she is, what she stands for, and what she can do for the country--most especially since she's the newbie.
While it isn't clear if she will emerge victorious, the cards suggest that the outcome will be a result of her going against an "institution"--someone strong, powerful...someone who might have been in the scene for a while, and has a large following.
Again, Leni cannot be complacent. What she will do from now until May 9 may spell the difference between her winning and losing.
